Toys Retailing at Nearly £3000 Donated to Mission Christmas
The GFT have increased the number of gifts provided to Mission Christmas each year by striking deals with major retailers allowing us to buy and donate toys that will be distributed by local charities to children and young adults living in poverty and hardship.
One such deal has seen us take advantage of Sainsburys' toy sale where we bought over 200 toys discounted from nearly £3,000 to £2,000.
These toys will go to youngsters that would otherwise end up with no presents to open on Christmas day.

The money, raised in aid of Wave 105’s Cash for Kids Mission Christmas campaign, was collected in a little over a month through various fundraising events organised by the club.
Charity organiser, Lee Moxom, said ‘As a club we were delighted to raise money to help provide disadvantaged kids, living in poverty, with presents to open this Christmas’.
As major donators to the Mission Christmas appeal, the GFT through their buying contacts managed to buy, with the money donated, 150 kids Looney Tunes backpacks and 337 vegan leather teenager shoulder bags/backpacks.
To buy these products online would have cost £8,177!
