About The Gale Foundation Trust
The Gale Foundation Trust CIO was founded by Richard Gale and his parents Edward & Kath in 2015. The objectives are broad and reflect the diverse causes close to each of their hearts.
Over the next few years the charity will expand to help dementia and cancer research as well as animal welfare and conservation but at the present its focus is on helping disadvantaged children in the south of England.
Since its inception both Kath and Ted have sadly past away. When the trust was originally founded Bryan Hoile, BSc Hons, a structural engineer and close friend of the family became the 4th trustee and he still remains. In 2021 we were joined by Tom Baker who has agreed to become our third trustee.
Tom has worked with Richard for over a decade and is ideally placed to step up to this role having been a crucial part of the day to day running of the charity since its inception.
The registered office of the Trust is the same as Gale Homes & Investments in Bournemouth, Dorset and the company covers the expenses and running costs of the charity as well as much appreciated free accounting services from Morris Lane allowing the trust to spend 100% of its donations on the good causes it supports.
