GFT purchase prominent Poole High Street premise

The GFT is delighted to have acquired a prominent two-story mixed-use property in Poole town centre, following a lengthy and challenging purchase process. The site includes a retail unit and the potential to create eight one-bedroom apartments. Although delays with HMRC nearly caused the deal to collapse, the intervention of one of our local MPs helped resolve the issues quickly, allowing the purchase to proceed.

Previously the home of the Entertainer toy store, and before that McDonalds, the large retail premises occupies most of the current 2 floors. The charity hope to create 8 one- bedroom flats over the remaining space on the first floor and through the creation of a  new second floor.

Negotiations on a lease for the retail space are ongoing with a well-known local charity which will be of great benefit to the local community. It is hoped that these negotiations will be quickly completed and the premises occupied this Autumn. We will release further information once the tenancy is completed
