The GFT were delighted to have played a fundamental role in raising over £12,500 in cash, clothing and toys for the new children’s ward housed in the new ‘BEACH’ building at Bournemouth Hospital. The donation was raised in conjunction with Poole Town FC’s Kids Initiative who raised, through fundraising events (and a donation from the GFT of £2,500), a total of £6,960. However, more was to follow from the supporters of both the GFT and Poole Town.

Having been given an Amazon wishlist of further toys required for the new children’s unit, the GFT sent this wishlist to their contacts and supporters who bought a further £1,867 of gifts which were then delivered to the hospital. We would like to extend our thanks to the generosity of Bournemouth and District Cancer Foundation for their £600 donation; and a massive thank you to Baypoint Surveys Ltd, James McComish, Grant Cormack, T. Glassock and all the anonymous donors for their generosity and support.

In addition, the GFT donated 200 Cotton Boulevard pre-natal and newborn size baby grows, worth £2,200, to the maternity unit in the same building to help families navigating challenging times and who were supported by UHD.

Finally, in 2026, James McComish, one of Poole Town FC’s most valued partners, ran the London Marathon raising his target of £1,500, including a £292-50 donation from the GFT, with the funds raised also going towards equipping the children’s ward. Well done James!
