Poole Waste Not Want Not (PWNWN)

Based in Poole High St, PWNWN is a charity who operate a social, membership-based supermarket, which is typically 50-75% cheaper than a regular supermarket, to support low-income families. In addition to providing affordable food, they offer advice on budgeting skills and social activities to help combat hunger and isolation.

One of the initiatives to combat hunger is PWNWN’s school holiday food clubs where children and their families take part in preparing healthy meals and drinks. The GFT has been delighted to have supported this initiative by sponsoring these sessions, providing funds to buy the food as well as kitchen equipment. Although the GFT only started sponsoring PWNWN directly in 2025, the paths of the two charities have crossed in previous years as the GFT have delivered Christmas presents, for the children of PWNWN members, through their involvement with Cash For Kids’ Mission Christmas Appeal.
