Orangutan Appeal UK

Wildlife conservation was one of the founding core objectives when the GFT was founded back in 2015. One organsation in particular, Orangutan Appeal UK (OAUK), fits that brief perfectly as they work to protect the remaining wild populations of orangutans by supporting conservation projects in Borneo and raising global awareness of their plight.

The GFT made their fist contact with OAUK back in 2025 with a view to supporting major infrastructure projects at the Sepilok Orangutan Rehabilitation Centre, in Malaysian Borneo.

The Centre is the main focus of OAUK where they have been supporting orangutan care and conservation work since 2001.
