Christmas For Kids Tour 2018

Dear Richard and all at The Gale Foundation,

I hope you are well. We at C4K wanted to write to you personally and say a huge thank you once again for the extremely generous donation your trust you made to Christmas for Kids for our 2018 children’s hospice tour.

To give you some insight into our work last year, we employed nine actors (three returning and six new) and toured a brand new show, Harry’s Christmas Adventure, with original songs and lots of sensory and interactive elements to 54 children’s hospices and related venues in England, Wales and Scotland. It was our first time touring to Scotland and those new venues loved the show. I expect you are incredibly busy, but if you have a moment, please do take a look at our blog of the tour written by members of the cast, which you’ll find on our website. Our reputation is building and we were recently invited to collaborate with charity Rays of Sunshine, who are employing us to take a two-hander show into children’s hospital wards as part of their Hospital Activity Days throughout the year. We now have a pool of twelve actors working on this project and since starting in February 2019, we have already played seven shows to children in hospitals in London, Bristol and Cambridge. We are very excited about this new venture as well as looking towards our 10th Anniversary Fundraising Gala later in the year, and of course our 2019 children’s hospice tour. 

None of this work would be possible without support from generous donors such as your foundation, so thank you once again. Please see below a breakdown of how your donation was spent - you paid for six hospice visits in the South and South West of England, covering the actors' wages and accommodation.
