Kids Initiative

The GFT was the founding sponsor of the Kids Initiative (KI) when it was set up in 2018. The idea behind the Initiative was to involve all children in the fun of football, especially those facing emotional, financial or physical hardship.

Since its inception, and with the continued financial support of the GFT, the KI has grown in its influence and ability to deliver coaching and mentoring to children across the BCP conurbation. That growth has seen the KI become a CIC and also an approved provider of Alternate Provision, for BCP council, mentoring children and teenagers facing challenges within the education system. The GFT have provided the funding to allow the part-time employment of our dedicated, and very talented coach, Andy White, who provides free coaching and mentoring sessions to 10 schools across Poole. In addition the KI continues to provide free evening coaching for girls and boys, as well as other programs such as the Boot Room, School Award Tickets, School Kit for Schools and Free Family Vouchers to Poole Town FC’s matches.
